Science Week

Posted on 17/03/2025

At Buntingford First School, every week is Science Week, but British Science Week 2025 gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate our love for discovery!

Our Nursery children became robotic engineers, learning how robots help in real life and even designing their own imaginative creations. Reception explored the fascinating world of animal habitats and adaptations, crafting their own unique creatures suited to different environments.

In Key Stage One, students investigated the question, ‘Do most trees and plants grow new leaves in the spring?’ through hands-on nature walks, excitedly spotting new growth all around them. KS2 began a unit of scientific enquiry by learning how shadows are formed, creating their own shadow puppet theatres!

A huge well done to all our young scientists for their curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm! We love seeing our students think, question and explore the world around them.
